Saturday Caturday

Today I'm giving lessons in Yarn Boxing.

First, you must warm up the yarn with a few shallow swipes, along with getting it juuust moist enough to play with. Too little water and it's too light to catch, too much and it won't fly properly.

When the yarn is just right, (and you've got the crazy eye going on), you start smack talking and fast whappin' the yarn. Some floorwork keeps the yarn down at rabbit kicking level.

WOO HOO! If the yarn tries to escape then it's on! Airborne yarn boxing is the best! You can whap it back and forth, up and down, and really get going! Don't worry if the yarn tries to after your whiskers, it can't really do anything beyond tickle.

...and when MomBean asks where all of her yarn went, blame BabyBean.

  10. I was wondering how that was done. I'll have to try that next time my bean's not looking. She's been working furiously on a baby blanket for several weeks now, trying to get finished before her 1st grandchild has his first child, which happened yesterday morning...earlier than expected. Now's she's really got to fly.
