Still no Q. I dreamed last night that my husband found him, and right before waking I remember holding that furry lug tight, crying into his fur that I had missed him so, so much. I don't know if that's a sign that he'll be home one day, or that he's telling me goodbye and giving me one last snuggle.

The longest one of ours went on a walkabout was 8 days... (we live in the country and think he got lost in the corn field behind our house) but my sister's cat was stuck in someone's garage longer than that... and he was thin but fine... Please don't give up hope. We won't.

Oh Monty missing! Don't despair, it's early days still. I once had a cat go walkabout for 3 whole months. He turned up, filthy, footsore and hungry. Don't give up hope for Monty! Posters, fliers, shelters, vets, neighbours - check, check, check! Keep on doing all the "lost cat" things, keep hoping!

ReplyDeleteI had a dream very similar to that a few years after one of my cats went missing. He had come home on his own though, and made it clear he didn't fit into my life any more (I had adopted other cats)and I watched him leave.. but while he was here he let me snuggle him and love on him, and it was such a nice feeling, even if it did leave me sad.

Oh my dearest friends...we are so heartbroken that your precious Monty Q is not home with you...he has been such a light in the blogger world for so many years...since we began in 2007...do not give up hope...once our old cat in Germany was gone...then 2 years later he was back! Never give up hope...

I'm praying he's okay and will return home. I don't mean to give false hope but once a cat appeared with the rest of the other cats I feed. I feed anyone who shows up. At first, I thought he was some neighbor's cat. After a few days, I realized he was too "meek" and he let me carry him. I called the number on his tag (one of those 800 numbers) and Cokie had been reported missing for 3 months. I don't know how, but he was two plus miles from his home and he had to cross traffic streets to end up in my house. He was so sweet natured! So I'll keep praying for his return.
