(Even though MomBean forgot.)
My Milliegirl remembered that the 24th was my Gotcha Day-it's been one year since my MomBean adopted me from the Animal Relief Fund. I actually have HeBean to thank for it, 'cause he was the one to mention going to the shelter that day to see who was available. I guess he didn't think they'd find such a studly mancat purrfect family fit, but there I was, sound asleep in a cage full of kittens jumping all over me. MomBean laughed and said that was a 'good signhe's calm'.
So they took me into a back room to play with me and oh man, KidBean was all over this tabbycat. I didn't mind, I grew up in a foster home with a nice LadyBean and a Great Dane woofie, so I'm used to other things touchin/playing/etc. I never had to stay in the shelter crate more than a few hours on Saturdays, which was the Open Adoption Days at ARF.
MomBean looked at other cats, including the russian blue that she went to see in the first place, but she wasn't too big on bein' friendly. I dunno why, but whatevs. MomBean looked at me and said: 'I want him.' Man, you'd think the President was coming for all of the hoopla they had. Evfurryone was all excited that I was getting a new home, calling other volunteers that were off that day and everything.
So I sang a little opera on the way home, and that was that. I became MomBean's first tabbycat, and life's been great ever since. I've got food and water, a whole house to play in, beans who love me, and all of you for furrends. Life is good.
Now do you want to hear how his Mancatloafness broke the PTU we bought specifically for him because his porkness was too heavy?
NO.
To celebrate, here's the award Mar gave to me, it kinda fits to put it up today:
If I was nekkid you could see how much I was blushin' to get this. I'm just happy enough to be here, let alone inspire others. :) I'm giving it to:
1. Adan
2. Dragonheart (and Merlin too!)
3. Luxor
