Thursday Tribute

MomBean is sad to hear of Buzzerbee's trip to the Bridge. She had to help her two old kitties Rudy (age almost 16), and Spotcat (almost 15) when they were sick. (Spotcat's passing was kinda traumatic...) So she wanted to share somethin a friend of the family told them years ago when Spotcat was sick. We hope it helps somekitty today.

"When the time is near, hold each other as close as you can. Don't worry about what to say-hearts speak on a different language than simple words; you'll be heard. All you have to do is breathe-inhale softly and remember the moment. Put your nose to theirs and breathe-share a breath together. That way they will always be with you, and you with them. Let their last few breaths be from the one they love to help lift their wings."

MomBean, stop crying...

Mancat Monday

Look, just because you can't get comfy at night because of your subl...sblixs...su...your neck is bent backwards, that doesn't mean you can interrupt my post-breakfast, pre-nap snooze. Can you not see the eye rolling, here?
Sheesh.

Saturday Caturday

Today I'm giving lessons in Yarn Boxing.

First, you must warm up the yarn with a few shallow swipes, along with getting it juuust moist enough to play with. Too little water and it's too light to catch, too much and it won't fly properly.

When the yarn is just right, (and you've got the crazy eye going on), you start smack talking and fast whappin' the yarn. Some floorwork keeps the yarn down at rabbit kicking level.

WOO HOO! If the yarn tries to escape then it's on! Airborne yarn boxing is the best! You can whap it back and forth, up and down, and really get going! Don't worry if the yarn tries to after your whiskers, it can't really do anything beyond tickle.

...and when MomBean asks where all of her yarn went, blame BabyBean.

Treats Thursday

Did someone say treats?

Gimmie!
MomBean found me some kittycrack new treats that I inhale like a hoover really like.

Alright kitties, let's help!

MomBean just read about a kitty who could use some help over at this site. (Scroll down to see her picture.) Here's the scoop:

"CAT LOOKING FOR FOREVER HOME 6/17: We found this beautiful young female cat outside my home last week, very hungry and skinny and starved for human attention. She is either pregnant, recently nursing a litter, or both. I cannot keep her because of my rats and mice — I am not a cat person! This is one incredibly sweet and attention-loving cat. She answers to "Kitty" and comes when called, follows me around the house, and hasn't tired yet of being petted and scratched.

We will be taking her this week to be spayed, get shots, dewormed, and tested for FeLV and FIV. If you would like to donate a dollar or two to help with her medical costs, it is appreciated! If you are local to the Houston, TX, area and are interested in adopting this cat please contact me. She will be officially for adoption once I know for certain her health status. There will be a small adoption fee to ensure she goes to a committed, indoor-only forever home, but I will refund part of the fee with proof she has been microchipped by her new owner. Vet reference(s) strongly preferred."
Now, MomBean and I talked and if they weren't all the way over in Texcatas, we would take her in. But we're waaaaaaaay away from there so the next best thing we can do is help with her vet bills and fees. I'm gonna work up an auction in the next couple of days to help. I'm waiting to hear back from the fosterbean to get the latest info.
